Junior Activities 

Our brand new state of the art kids studio will provide a supervised service from the ages of 8- 15 and will be available Monday ,Tuesday and Friday evening between 4.30-6pm and weekends between 10am-midday. Parents will also be able to join in the fun with our family sessions. 

Equipment will include kit specifically designed for children and includes two sportwalls.

Dubbed 'the computer game that makes you sweat' each wall comprises an 8ft x 4ft computerised panel.

Games are based on points/lives won and lost. Children score against the clock by zapping lights on the panels, simultaneously tracking a ball, targets, sounds, scores and a time clock, earning extra points for skill, speed, cardiovascular stamina and team co-operation. This system is proven with children and has just been installed at three Premiership football clubs including Manchester United.

A machine dance game is also one of the new attractions where users physically re-enact dance steps on their own individual alloy platforms. Up to 16 platforms can be run at any one time so a whole class of children will be able to dance together.

The moves are projected onto a giant six-metre wide screen, the idea being to follow the moves on screen, where you score points for accuracy and speed. This type of dance class can also be set at different skill levels so children will be able to challenge their mums and dads in a dance off!

Finally the new children’s gym will include a selection of cardiovascular and resistance equipment incorporating junior spinning bikes.

Specially designed for children, whilst they may look like shrunken adult equipment, the key is that all movements are compounded, focusing on more than one muscle group or joint at any one time minimising the chance of stress or injury to the child.
