Cadillacs and Copters

Date: 14th May – 3rd September 

Venue: The Helicopter Museum, Weston Super Mare

If you are fan of classic cars, helicopters or both – you are going to love this! 

There will be a superb selection of American Classic Cars surrounding the airfields renewed control tower. The exhibition will also include 50s and 560s Hot Rods and V8s.

For all you helicopter lovers we have the Vietnam Harry plus many more and you’ll even be able to go into the cockpits.

The Grand Pier Sugar Craft Workshop                                     

Date: 20th May 2017                                      

Venue: Weston Super Mare’s Grand Pier                                      

This two hour workshop is delivered by the talented Ann Pickard, and promises to teach you the basics of sugar craft modelling. You will be provided with a box to take your creations home as well as your very own Sugar Craft book! Complimentary tea & coffee will be served throughout the session. This is a family event so you can bring your little ones to come along too!

WW2 Era Hangar Dance at The Helicopter Museum                                      

Date: 20th May 2017                                      

Venue: The Helicopter Museum- Weston Super Mare 

If you love the dancing from back in WW2 then this is for you! Dust off  the old flight jacket, poodle skirt or penny loafers, and dance the night away! This one-night-only event comes with an amazing live performance event called “The Hot Tin Roofs”.                                       

During the evening the aircraft hangars will rock to the sounds of WWII-era music and American swing from the Vietnam War period, while guests dance the night away in an original aviation hangar setting with actual historic aircraft and wartime ornament. Museum staff and volunteers will be dressed up in period costumes ranging from Spitfire Pilots and Land Girls to American G.I.s. Apart from the 'anti-rationing' buffet, there will also be a licensed wine bar serving a range of wines, beers and soft drinks throughout the evening.

The Missing Ingredients - what happens if you forget the egg in your cake? How will it taste? Research the properties of various cake-making ingredients and see what we can use to replace them.

Tiny Tea Parties Presents: Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Venue: Weston Super Mare’s Grand Pier 

Join the Teddy Bears for fun, games and a tasty picnic on the Grand Pier! 

Kids will enjoy a disco and party games before setting out their picnic blankets ready for a tasty lunch.

After their lunch the fun goes on with the opportunity to hug and dance with Ted the Bear. After the party children can take their own Grand Pier Teddy Bear home!

The Illegal Eagles

Often recognised as the World’s Official No.1 Eagles tribute, The Illegal Eagles return to the stage in 2017, this time celebrating their legendary 20 years of UK & international tour. 

It’s easy to see why The Express called the band “flawless in their delivery both musically & vocally”. During their performance, you will have chance to listen to The Eagles’ most popular songs such as Hotel California, Take It Easy, Lyin’ Eyes, Take it to the Limit, Life in the Fast Lane and so on!
