New ops manager starts at UK's best health club

The country’s best health club and spa has made a senior appointment to help take the service up another level for its 4,000 plus members.

Mark Rimmer (31) has now joined the club and spa at Cadbury House in Congresbury as operations manager.

Living in Clevedon, Mark previously worked at Churchill Sports Centre and more recently with Snap Fitness and brings a wealth of experience which he hopes will help maintain the club’s position as the best in the business.

Drawn by the autonomy within the business and its independence – unlike many of the country’s leading chains – Mark is looking to improve the experience for members from the moment they step out of their car to the end of their workout or spa session.

Mark said: “The club at Cadbury House is second-to-none in terms of facilities, location and service so I’ve got to really perform.

“Ever since it opened it’s set the bar really high in terms of health, fitness and wellness.

“It’s much more personable than a lot of health clubs and that’s what makes it exciting.

“There is a huge amount of potential and with some small changes, it’ll make the whole experience much better for all those who come here.

“I’ll also be looking to increase the useage of the My-Wellness system so that members get more out of the equipment and workouts and stay on track to achieve their goals.

“I’ll also be looking to improve further the customer service so that we’re always two steps above that what is expected of us here.”

Jason Eaton, club director added: “Mark’s enthusiasm is obvious to see and he’s already brought about some subtle changes that have made a difference to the way the team operate and what members and hotel guest’s experience.

“The health sector is constantly changing and as the best health club in the UK it’s important we evolve our offer in line with people’s expectations.

“It’s why we’re number one!”
