Charities we Support
Cadbury House is delighted to support a number of local and national charities including Childrens Hospice South West, Guide Dogs and Weston Hospice Care.
Weston Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care free of charge to local people, helping more than 1,300 patients and their families every year; touching the lives of thousands more. As a charity they rely on the generosity of the local community to raise £2m every year.
Children's Hospice South West - Helps to build precious memories for families whose children are living with life-limiting or life threatening conditions. The charity helps to make the most of every moment a very sick child has with us and with their family, including giving them one-to-one specialist care, having fun times through play, music, outings and crafts - simple pleasures that many of us take for granted.
Furthermore CHSW also helps the families of the children, who often struggle to cope with the incredible pressure put upon them.
As you may know we are working hard to support one of our chosen charities for this year the Children's Hospice South West. When asked what they would like us to donate this Easter, they replied as below.
“Instead of donating eggs to one of our chosen charities this year, CHSW - we have decided to try and donate things that they can go out and experience and have lots of fun doing! We are looking to give the families who stay at Charlton Farm cinema vouchers, aquarium vouchers, @Bristol vouchers, Hollywood bowl vouchers, mall vouchers, plastic feed bottles with lids, children’s bibs, table mats and coasters, children’s cutlery and crockery. Can you help?”
We think that this is a lovely idea and a great opportunity to reach out to our caring community. If there is anyone who would like to help with donations towards this worthy cause, please contact Amandakirikmaa@cadburyhouse.com.
We are holding a Spring Clean Appeal 10th - 15th April
What can I donate?
CHSW would be delighted to receive good quality items including:
- Clothes (adult, children, baby)
- Baby equipment (cots, high chairs, push chairs etc)
- Soft Furnishings
What difference will I make?
CHSW exists to make the most of short and precious lives, and supports children with life-limiting conditions who are not expected to reach adulthood. Your local hospice, Charlton Farm, is a place full of love and laughter where families can begin to forget their worries for a while, be a family again and receive the best care for their child.
We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations, and your unwanted items can help us to continue this vital work. It is expensive to provide the special care we offer, but for our families it is vital.
How can I donate?
Please leave you donations with the Reception Team at DoubleTree by Hilton Cadbury, ready for collection by CSHW on the 16th April.
*Please deliver large items to the reception 16th April.
All of those who donate will receive a DoubleTree cookie.
