An art masterclass is returning to Cadbury House where enthusiasts will have the chance to brush up on their painting techniques while adding a touch of glamour to their creations.

Taking place on Saturday 19 April, the live painting workshop will be led by renowned gold leaf specialist Carla James.

Through the application of gold leaf to her paintings, elevates Carla’s art and transforms blank canvases into shimmering masterpieces

On the day she will guide guests through the intricate techniques of applying gold leaf and painting, helping them create their own spectacular works of art.

The day also includes afternoon tea along with a glass of fizz, adding to the decadence of the day.

Claire Jones, sales manager at Cadbury House said: “Carla’s work is amazing to look at and enjoy and the inclusion of gold leaf really does make each piece stand out even more.

“We held a number of art classes last year and each one was fully booked so we’re expecting this session to be just as popular so anyone wanting to attend need to reserve their space as soon as possible.

“To watch a master at work and then enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in our Marco Pierre White restaurant is a date not to be missed. Marco was an artist when it came to serving food, so it seems appropriate that this event is being held in the Garden Room of his restaurant.”

The art masterclass is taking place on Saturday 19 April. It will start at 10.30am and finish at 3.30pm. The afternoon tea will be served at 2.00pm.
