Fans of Marco Pierre White can get a double helping of the famed chef when he visits North Somerset later in May.

Known for his no nonsense approach, Pierre White shot to fame by becoming the youngest person ever to attain three Michelin stars. He will now be visiting two restaurants that bear his name at Cadbury House in Congresbury on Tuesday 30 May.

A lunch time meet and greet in the newly opened Bardolino Pizzeria, Bellini & Espresso Bar at theclub will be followed by dinner in the Steakhouse Bar & Grill which is located in the historic house and hotel.

Guests at each event will have the chance to meet and chat to Marco and buy a copy of his latest book, ‘Essentially Marco’, which they can also get signed. They will also be able to tuck into specially prepared menus which are being designed for the day.

Jason Eaton, director of the health club said: “Bardolino hasn’t even been open a whole year, yet this will be Marco’s third visit. It shows how much interest he is taking in this new brand and it’s great to welcome him back again.

“Since we opened last June we’ve had a great response from both members and non-members looking for somewhere casual to have a bite to eat, drink or coffee.

“Bardolino is a cosy, intimate restaurant so it’s going to feel really special for our guests. We’re hoping people who haven’t had a chance to come and try us out yet, will take this opportunity to do so.”

Taking its name from the birthplace of Marco’s mother, Bardolino is the new ‘ultra-casual’ restaurant located within theclub & spa at Doubletree by Hilton, Cadbury House. Pizza and pasta are star dishes on the menu of authentic Italian food which also features specialty coffees and Bellinis.

The evening function is taking place in the Steakhouse Bar & Grill which serves top quality steaks alongside a varied range of plates inspired by the best of British and French cooking.

Headed by Jason Everett, Marco’s visit will stir up some golden memories as Jason worked with Marco for two years at Harveys, helping him attain two of his Michelin stars.

Jason said: “Marco has always kept in touch to see what I’ve been up to so it’s great for him to visit us once again.

“The things I learned with Marco while at Harveys have never gone away and I’ve now been passing on that knowledge to the team here.

“It’s going to be a great evening and the menu we’re putting together will make for a fantastic dining experience for those who come along.”
