Bristol Pride

Venue: The Downs, Bristol

Dates: 1st – 14th July

The Bristol Pride is one of the largest events in the Bristol calendar and is the most important for the LGBT Community, celebrating the 10th year of the event.

This years event will showcase a selection of events including a Circus Night, Pride of Dog Show, Theatre, Comedy and Film Festival. Not to mention a host of music performances from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Boney M, Melanie C & Sink the Pink, Sonique, Dr Meaker, Four of Diamonds, Saara Aalto, Ru Paul’s Drag Race Peppermint and Hazell Dean.

Pride Day will begin with the Parade march within the city centre, brightening up the streets and declaring that hate and prejudice is not welcome in Bristol.

Bristol Shakespeare Festival

Dates: 1st – 31st July

Venue: Various around Bristol

Due to the popularity of last year’s festival, this year is set to be bigger than ever. Located in a selection of al fresco spaces around Bristol. The festival love using an ‘open air theatre’ theme to all the festivities.

Aardman Animating Early Man

Date: 6th July – 3rd November

Venue: M-Shed

If you loved Chicken Run, Shaun the Sheep and the award-winning Wallace and Gromit Aardman bring you Early Man - Aardman have their four-time Academy Award winning studio in Bristol.

The animation was developed by Aardman the exhibition will take you through each step of how the mammoth movie was made.

Early Man was released in 2018 starring Eddie Redmayne, Maisie Williams and Tom Hiddleston. The storyline is about a caveman Dug with friend Hognob who live in prehistoric times when creatures and Bronze Age rule the earth. Dug, Hognob and their tribe compete against the scary Bronze Age in a battle of mighty game of football.

Aardman is a world famous, four times Academy Award winning studio based in Bristol. Early Man was released in 2018 starring Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston and Maisie Williams.

Tom Jones

Date: 13th July

Venue: Bristol Country Ground

Tickets are still available for the legend that is Tom Jones, one of the most prestigious, world renowned artists in the world. Tom is one of the most iconic voices and sings an array of music types form rock, pop, soul, R&B, gospel and country. Don’t miss out on one of the best concerts of the year.

The Wurzels

Date: 5th July

Venue: The Pier, Weston Super Mare

The fantastic west country band The Wurzels perform a variety of their superb hits including "I Am A Cider Drinker" and "Combine Harvester" the support act will be the super Skimmity Hitchers.

But a Wurzels performance would not be the same without the finest Somerset cider and scrumpy, so grab yourself a drink from our well stocked bar!

Calendar Girls: The Musical

Dates: 9th – 20th July

Venue: Bristol Hippodrome

Based on real life events, about a group of ladies living their lives and facing life changing events Calendar Girls shows the trials and tribulations of the ladies’ journey.

The musical by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth features amazing musical score and a captures the storyline in a fantastic way.

Bristol Harbour Festival

Dates: 19th – 21st July

With a host of activities for the whole family this year’s Harbour Festival is set to be one of Bristol’s best weekends this summer.

There will be a host of family events within the harbour, as well as food markets, dancing and daredevil stunts. This year will also feature an exclusive visit by a range of tall ships including The Pelican and the world’s tallest small ship The Little Brig which was previously used as an aircraft carrier.

There will also be two harbourside gigs featuring New Order and The Specials make the event one to remember.
