Cadbury House Voted Wedding Venue Of The Year

One of the South West’s leading four-star hotels has scooped a top wedding award, placing it as the best around for loved-up couples wanting to celebrate their special day.

DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House in Congresbury, North Somerset has now been chosen as Wedding Venue of the Year 2019 by The Bristol & Somerset Wedding Awards, which recognise and show appreciation to the high level of talent within the wedding industry.

Renowned for its stunning views and contemporary boutique style, the popular four-star hotel, which hosts around 100 weddings and receptions each year, beat off stiff competition to claim the honour at a glittering awards ceremony earlier in the month.

Alice Grant, Cadbury House’s Senior Wedding Sales Supervisor said, “To be recognised as Wedding Venue of the Year is a fantastic achievement for all the team here at Cadbury House. It’s great to receive accolades like this and we’re absolutely delighted. Last year we were highly commended so to go one step further makes all the hard work worthwhile and I’d personally like to thank all those couples who voted for us.

“Of course, our main priority is to always make sure those who have their wedding and/or reception with us have the best possible service which will then give them a day they will always remember.”

The awards ask the previous year’s clients to vote for the venue they think should win, so for this year’s awards, clients from 1st January 2018 to 31st December 2018 were eligible.

Once all the nominations were in, judges undertook a more qualitative analysis of each venue with the scores added up to ensure it is made fair to all businesses involved.

Alice added: “Cadbury House is an amazing venue for weddings. The tree-lined drive leads up to the gothic-styled house and hotel and is arguably one of the prettiest anywhere in the region.

“With several rooms licensed to hold both Civil Marriage Ceremonies and Commitment Ceremonies, there are many options for couples to consider. Those wanting to create a real “wow” on their special day could also consider an alfresco ceremony in the thatched Gazebo, with spectacular panoramic views stretching out across the North Somerset countryside and Bristol Channel.

“We’ve also got our forthcoming wedding fayre taking place on Sunday 5th January 2020 so couples can come and see for themselves why Cadbury House has been voted best wedding venue.

“The day will be packed full of ideas and inspiration, while the Cadbury House wedding team will be on hand to discuss any personal requirements.”

Alice is also keen to point out that anyone thinking about booking their wedding at Cadbury House can benefit from a 20% discount for any dates taken before the end of January 2020, potentially saving themselves thousands in the process.

The Awards team support The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation which organises and funds weddings for people with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
