Expecting to welcome around 8,000 guests over the coming weeks, the team at Cadbury House in Congresbury are now looking forward to welcoming party goers back to the four-star venue for what they hope will be as normal a festive season as possible.

Sales manager Claire Jones said: “We endured a Christmas season like no other in 2020 so it’s great news that we are seeing a return to something like normality.

“Many people lost out on celebrating with family and friends last year and it seems the theme this year is to make up for lost time.

“It’s also important to remember that not only do we employ a lot of local people but use a lot of local suppliers all of whom were impacted by the restrictions last year. So for them, the return of the Christmas party season is very welcome news.

“The logistics for entertaining in the region of 8,000 guests over a five-week period is quite a big undertaking, but we’re not complaining as long as everyone has a good time and enjoys themselves.

“All I can say is, that’s a lot of sprouts!”

A key message Claire is keen to get across to guests or to anyone still thinking about where to celebrate the festivities is that the venue will still be operating under the recommended Covid-19 guidelines so anyone thinking about coming out for a festive meal or stay in the hotel can do so assured that the Cadbury House team has gone above and beyond what’s expected.

Claire added: “We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and we’ve taken every precaution so that those who visit, can do so safe in the knowledge that all has been done to safeguard their health and that of the staff.

“In the Great Room the theme this year is styled around a Venetian Christmas so we want as many guests to wear ornate masks. We’re also taking bookings in the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill so anyone wanting a little bit of affordable glamour will find this the perfect place to celebrate.”
