Hello, we stayed at the hotel 15th to the 23rd September 2016, we were visiting family and had travelled from Australia, we have just returned home. I wanted to send you a email to say what a lovely stay we had... Thank you kindly for a upgrade to the front of the hotel and thank you for a bottle of wine and chocolate, laid out in our room on arrival, it was a very, very lovely touch on your behalf and very much appreciated. I would just like to add that we had a fantastic stay and the hotel itself was looking lovely inside and the outside, rather stunning with the touches of landscaping that had been added.. We look forward to our next visit in 2017.

A weekend away with the girls is one of my favourite things, especially when you haven't seen each other for a while. On this occasion, we stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Cadbury House, a four star boutique hotel and spa, near Bristol.  

Check-in was smooth and efficient, and we were each welcomed with a warm chocolate chip cookie (I wish that all hotels did this!). The layout of the hotel was a little bit confusing at first, but we soon found our way around and settled in very quickly.
During our stay, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, dinner at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, and a leisurely breakfast (checkout was at 12 midday, so there was no major rush). The hotel really has everything you need for a mini break, and we didn't want to leave! 

The food and service was excellent (we ordered the tuna steak, cheese burger, and salmon), and the restaurant and bar area has a modern and luxurious finish. We loved the 2-4-1 cocktails! 

We enjoyed exploring the hotel grounds and lake, and appreciated the quirky touches...especially the life-size model of a cow, which you can climb on (if you want to!). The hotel has a gorgeous indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sun deck, relaxation room, gym, salon, and fitness classes are also available on site. 

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, and we loved the free on-site parking. This hotel has everything you need for a weekend away with the girls, but it's also great for a special occasion, or a romantic retreat. We can't wait to go back!

My family attended a party held for my son’s 50th birthday on Friday 21st March and many of the guests stayed overnight. 

From the moment we arrived the whole evening went without a hitch.  The room looked splendid, the food was some of the best we have had from a hot buffet and the waitresses – Mary, Yvonne and another girl whose name I forget – were really helpful. The DJ was fantastic – and took my son’s requests very seriously which made for a really party atmosphere. 

Just thought it might be a good idea to let you know and to thank you for helping us have a really special night.

As the event organisers and the production team for this event we recommended your hotel to our client at Jeff who had quite some complex requirements. We needed a venue that could be flexible and professional with a schedule that was clear would change on a regular or almost daily basis…
and didn’t it just! 

The service however, provided from our initial booking with Nia in the Sales Office through to the execution of the event by your Operations Team was superb. 

We were provided with a relaxed atmosphere and an extremely flexible, accommodating team of people from your end that made us as both the Event Organisers and Staging company jobs so much easier and ultimately a great better result for the client. 

Your team were exceptional. Not only were they able to react immediately to our clients’ needs but they were also courteous and polite, delivering first class men u offering in a room that looked just great. 

I have attached some photographs of which we would be happy for you to use as part of your sales pitch. I am sure you will agree that the room looked great and the set etc. worked so well there. 

Thank you for accommodating the large lorries in the car park area, I appreciate they took up quite a lot of room for the entire day. This did not seem to be a problem to you guys either. 

So all in all, your team’s “can do” attitude is a credit to you and the Hilton Doubletree brand.

"I have stayed at your Cadbury House property 20 times in the last 9 months and would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your employees for providing me with the service that you do.

I have the fortune, or misfortune, to stay in many hotels worldwide as a result of my job and so would like to think that i have experienced my fair share of good and bad service!  I am conscious that bad service is always complained about but good service is seldom thanked.

From my initial booking with Ann, through to the greeting and warmth on arrival of Monica, Hannah and Lynette to the restaurant and bar staff - notably Mimo and Jon in the restaurant and David and Phil in the bar - i always feel like you not only want my business but you try your hardest to make the fact that i have to be away form home as enjoyable experience as possible.  Tanya at breakfast also remembers that i like a capuccino to start my day and the little things often make the biggest differences.

The quality of the rooms and cleanliness is always very good and the facilities in the health club are first class.  The meeting rooms are good, although I always seem to book the meeting rooms with the uncomfortable chairs so that will be top of my request next time i have a meeting at Cadbury!

Please relay my thanks to your employees.  I stay away from home because i have to, not because i like to - so to have your representatives showing the levels of service they do make it a bit easier.  Good service will always be a differentiator that leads to a repeatable competitive advantage and having that is why people like me repeatedly stay in your property."

Booked here for my husbands 50th birthday, we had t bone steaks which were absolutely gorgeous. My husband is a steak fanatic, we actually drove miles looking for steak restaurants and he says this was the best steak he had ever had. It was 160z and cooked superbly...we had three courses in all, everything was lovely. The staff were very polite, and pleasant and the children's meal were also first class (no imitation chicken in the coujons). We had a lovely dining experience and would like to thank Marco Pierre White.

Food was amazing, cooked to perfection sword fish was melt in the mouth good the t bone steak was perfect steak chips were nice and chunky. I was expecting the portion sizes to be small but were great new potatoes were so tasty the cabbage and bacon was so creamy I take my hat off to the chef well done. I will defiantly be returning restaurant arrangement was fantastic service was amazing waiter was very very good wine was stupendous the chicken Kiev was very moist I can't say any more really. Hello Rebecca,

We held another successful two day Conference at Cadbury last week and I wanted to let you know that although all your staff were helpful and efficient there were several who provided that extra effort that led to achieving that success.

Jessica Bate was always on hand to support the smooth running of administration matters in particular arranging the last minute copying of documents for the delegate packs ably assisted by Maddie.

Wendy Stevens and her staff once again took control of the hands on food and beverage operation delivering everything on time allowing our speaker sessions to keep to schedule.

Finally I was really impressed with your senior receptionist Monica who answered my emergency call on Thursday to find someone who could fix my dress shirt having forgotten to pack my button fasteners and only realised this just half an hour before the black tie gala dinner was due to start and I was hosting it.

Without any fuss she found four buttons behind the reception desk and asked me to return in fifteen minutes which I did.

Amazingly the dress shirt was ready to wear with the four buttons perfectly in position and from what could have been a disastrous situation for me turned out to be a memorable evening with once again excellent service in the Great Room and delicious food [and wine].

I have been arranging events and Conferences at Cadbury for some thirty years and for the above reasons that is why I continue to do so.

I just wanted to thank you and your 'team' for an absolutely brilliant weekend!!! 

I don't know John's surname to include him in this email, so please be kind enough to forward this message on to him.  He personally went above and beyond for us all, especially in his care for Penny (the lady who had the accident) and Geoff . He was forever fetching and carrying, pandering to Scrabbler's needs and making sure Ronnie and I were kept fed and watered; he needs a medal!!

I had been worried beforehand that our warm-up tournament in the 'turret' may be a bit troublesome, but with help from the staff, it went like clockwork. I know the hotel was seriously busy with all the weddings and the staff were rushed off their feet as a result, but not once were we made to feel that anything was too much trouble.  Ronnie and I had such positive feedback from our players and I have already read some lovely reviews about the weekend on our scrabble site.

Lastly, what can I say about the food!!!!!  You really did us proud and EVERYONE thoroughly enjoyed it.  We have all stuffed ourselves silly for four days and considering you were catering for 70 of us, the quality of food and choice of menu was outstanding; kindly pass on out thanks to your Chef and kitchen staff.  

Hope to see you again before too long to arrange next year's event!!

I attended the meeting at Cadbury house last week and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location, the hotel was clean and the reception staff very welcoming. (The warm chocolate cookie, went down a treat)

We stayed in the hotel on the evening of the 26th April and had dinner in the "Garden Room", the dinner was good and I received positive feedback from those that attended.

We stayed the following day at the hotel for our meeting in the "The Box" room. The meeting facilities were good and the coffee station very convenient.

Overall given the nice food, friendly staff and location i would give it a 9/10.

We were passed your information as we wanted to forward our comments on about an event we held recently – in particular the exceptional service we experienced from your events team. 

We are a small company and we held an event on the 20th of January that grew in numbers well beyond our expectations.

While we became anxious about the growing numbers and feedback from our upper management, every concern we may have had was quickly dealt with by Cadbury house.  

We endlessly threw new enquiries and requests at them, and each and every request was accommodated and met with sincere willingness to help.   

Needless to say that our event went without a hitch and even further requests on the day were accommodated with a smile.  

Sales Supervisor Jessica Bate was with us from start to finish, helping us through the planning stages, offering an array of options and quickly replying to any correspondence. She was truly a delight to deal with.

Wendy (who helped us on the day) was also incredibly accommodating and continued with the same level of politeness and helpfulness.

We normally hold many smaller events - no hotel we have used so far has offered the level of service that we have experienced from start to finish for our event at your venue.   

Both Jessica and Wendy are a great asset to Cadbury house.

I am well thanks, and I did take the weekend to catch up after the event. 

Regarding feedback, I have to say that myself and Martin were extremely impressed with everything to do with the organisation of this event, it was a great pleasure to deal with someone as professional and organised as yourself in the lead up to the event.  We deal with a lot of hotels and venues but your service was exceptional.  Martin, with his technical hat on, didn’t like the low ceilings in the great room, but ultimately nothing you can do about this, and between us but we all managed to make it work.

Likewise, the care and attention we received on site from both Sally Anne and Wendy, was excellent. Sally Anne stayed on later than the end of her shift just to see the set up finished, not something many people would do, and Wendy was efficient, knowledgeable, and went out of her way to anticipate our every need.

The food was very good too, so compliments to the chefs!

I would like to make sure that this gets passed onto your manager and the hotel owner, perhaps you could either do this for me, or let me have their emails so I can write to them directly.

Regarding the client, whilst they didn’t have much to do with the organising side, they loved the Great Room and the guest feedback is coming in this week, and the early indications are that they rated the set up and venue highly, so all good news.

My hope now is that the client rebooks for next year.  They usually start thinking about their next annual conference about February time, so x fingers that I will be in touch then about rebooking for 2016.

Ian Burden, bibic children's charity - 30th April 2015

Dear Monika,

Just a quick note to thank your team for their assistance on the evening of Thursday 30th April.

I am a trustee of a children's charity (www.bibic.org.uk) and one of our trustees had arranged to staying with you that evening. We therefore decided to hold our Board meeting in The Lounge area and our Chair of trustees decided to also stay at the hotel.

On the evening of our meeting, the hotel was hosting a wedding and this meant that there was more noise than normal in the bar areas. Your staff were kind enough to allow us to use one of the meeting rooms upstairs, giving us the opportunity to hold our meeting without disturbance. Your staff arranged this quickly and without fuss displaying their professionalism

As a trustee of the charity, I just wanted to pass my thanks on to yourself and your team on that evening for giving us the opportunity to use one of your rooms at such short notice. As with all charities, we depend on the generosity of organisations such as yours.

Without this support and dedication to take care of us it would not have been so successful at the port or socially at the hotel, as a group we felt most welcome and bonded as friends not just colleagues and guests. 

I'd like to express particular thanks to Elaine for the initial contact and sorting things out, I hope she recovers soon. Jonathan and Mimo with whom we had the most contact, nothing was ever an issue and they always went the extra mile, Jonathans change of menu for lunch and dinners were great. Mimo for cooking up our gammons in the kitchen for taste panels. Monika, Hannah and the whole reception team were very very helpful throughout. 

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the Elvis night topped things off nicely. If you have any photos of our group we'd love some copies. 

I have travelled the world and stayed in many fine hotels. I feel you should be very proud of your hotel and your team of which are both world class."

"We as a company regularly use various meeting places. The Double Tree was perfect. The meeting room was comfortable and very well equipped. Things we usually have to ask for as extras were provided as standard. We were appointed a member if staff who was on the end of a phone or text if we needed anything. It was also cheaper than similar establishments that we have used. The Double Tree gave us a first class hotel experience. I would recommend trying it for business meetings or if you need to smooze a client."

Well after the madness & mayhem of the last few months, it was a massive relief (especially for Clare who did most of the running around) to finally arrive at our wedding day. Clare & I have both agreed, it was the perfect day & we wouldn’t change a thing about it. I’m very happy that pretty much everyone who wanted to check in prior to the service, were able to do so, so thank your colleagues for that for me please.

The staff who attended to us throughout the day, the waiting & bar staff & especially Sue, looked after our every need & could not have been more helpful. Lots of people commented on how much they enjoyed the meal & the evening buffet, so again, please thank the chefs & kitchen staff for us. All in all, the perfect setting for the perfect day. I don’t intend on having any other weddings personally but will be happy to recommend you & Cadbury House Hotel to anyone planning to get married.

We booked our wedding through Cadbury House last year and we are so glad we did. Their staff were very helpful every step of the way. They walked us through all of the details to make sure everything was organised in plenty of time. Their master of ceremonies helped us through the whole day, was willing to run errands to make sure we had everything we needed and helped to make the whole day magical. 

We couldn't be happier with all of the staff. Everyone was really happy and willing to help the wedding party and guests. They laid the wedding breakfast out perfectly with every little detail taken care of. 

We are so happy with how everything went even down to the beautiful weather for mid February. 

We couldn't give any higher praise to the hotel and staff. Thank you Cadbury house for everything you did to help make our wedding such a success.

We had a fantastic wedding day and want to pass on our thanks to all the team at Cadbury House, especially Alice who assisted us in the run up and Sue who was our coordinator on the day. My parents and bridesmaids all commented how organised she was and I really appreciated her sorting out an alternative cake stand at the last minute as the top tier of our fruit cake was too heavy for the stand we brought! The whole process was a lot more stress-free than I expected from hearing about friends’ recent weddings and a lot of that was because we were able to leave all the room set up and logistics to you all, so that really was a big help.

The food was gorgeous (and very generous sizes!) and though it was a shame not to see you on the night, the management in charge were fantastic; you have a really great team! Dear Mr Badcock,

I was non-resident, but partook in the meals and scrabble activities.

Mick - Broad Street Community Trust Charity Ball on 6thMarch 2015

The event went really well. The total at the moment stands at around …£16,000. Which is really pleasing, especially as we more than doubled last year’s total.

We have had a lot of positive feedback from the guests. They have all said that the event was professional, and that the hotel and the room we were in looked fantastic. Everyone enjoyed the food. I managed to find time to eat this year!! The food was really nice. All the guests that stayed over were very impressed, especially as a lot of them were upgraded. Which I assume was your doing??!! So thank you very much for that.

Overall it was a very enjoyable and successful night.

Tony Haynes - Yatton Lodge of Hospitality Ladies Night

Many thanks for all your help with the above – it was a fantastic night which went without a hitch. Please convey my thanks on behalf of the Lodge to all the staff who looked after us. Good morning

I feel compelled to contact you and recognise the outstanding attitude if Wendy.

I was asked to attend and deliver some training to McDonald's yesterday and we'd been allocated The Study. Wendy found a larger room she thought we'd prefer. However, I then told Wendy that my session required all tables removed - I was expecting this to be a problem. Not a bit of it!

Without hesitation Wendy found the Landing and within 10 mins the room was set up, vacuumed, and coffee & muffins in place. Clearly nothing phases Wendy. She was so accommodating, helpful, and very cheerful. I wanted to let you know that it was very much appreciated.

We had a lovely time on Thursday and the evening was a great success.  Many thanks for your hospitality and organisation of the evening as well as supporting myself and our team with our requirements.  We had our debrief meeting only today and everyone commented on how great a venue Cadbury House is for the evening’s event and how fantastic the staff and setup was and helped to make the evening run seamlessly smooth.

just  wanted to let you know what a great time we had on Friday at the show,everyone in our party enjoyed themselves and we wanted to compliment the staff,who were efficient and friendly, the food was delicious, the band were brilliant, the venue amazing - my Mother was so happy (even though she had a fall when a young man knocked her off-balance on a step). We will definately be coming back again, and recommending you to friends.

Elaine – Club with Friends- April 2013

I wish to pass on my thanks for a wonderful evening I had at your club with Friends last Friday evening. The event was a West End to Broadway night followed by a disco, my friend had organised this for her birthday and I text her the next day stating it was one of the best nights of my life!

Firstly I would like you to compliment Angie (Small lady white hair, in charge of serving the food). She was very attentive, professional and kind, it’s difficult to get staff these days working unsocialable hours and to remain so conscientious, she really was marvelous, hang onto her! There was also a young girl called Maddie S, for someone so young she too was very good at her job and always smiling. I fear you don’t get that very often from the youth of today. In fact all the staff were very good including the Greek barman (sorry didn’t get his name)

The food was excellent and I’m still trying to work out how you managed it for that price!

Thank you again, I will be passing on my recommendations. Please pass on my thanks to Angie and Maddie S.

Suzi - Scrabble Weekend - March 2013

I just wanted to thank you and your 'team' for an absolutely brilliant weekend!!! 

I don't know John's surname to include him in this email, so please be kind enough to forward this message on to him.  He personally went above and beyond for us all, especially in his care for Penny (the lady who had the accident) and Geoff . He was forever fetching and carrying, pandering to Scrabbler's needs and making sure Ronnie and I were kept fed and watered; he needs a medal!!

I had been worried beforehand that our warm-up tournament in the 'turret' may be a bit troublesome, but with help from the staff, it went like clockwork. I know the hotel was seriously busy with all the weddings and the staff were rushed off their feet as a result, but not once were we made to feel that anything was too much trouble.  Ronnie and I had such positive feedback from our players and I have already read some lovely reviews about the weekend on our scrabble site.

Lastly, what can I say about the food!!!!!  You really did us proud and EVERYONE thoroughly enjoyed it.  We have all stuffed ourselves silly for four days and considering you were catering for 70 of us, the quality of food and choice of menu was outstanding; kindly pass on out thanks to your Chef and kitchen staff.  

Hope to see you again before too long to arrange next year's event!!

 

 

Rhiana - "...could not of wished for a better night" - Hen Party January 2013

I just wanted to express my thanks for a brilliant night on Friday – Take That, Red Tie and Tiara Events. 

It was my sisters hen do and the feedback from all the other hens has been brilliant, including my sister, who says she could not of wished for a better night. A special thanks to the manager Richard, who really made the night so special for her, with meeting the tribute band and getting her up on stage and having a special shout out and even her own throne.  Nothing was too much trouble and it was a hassle free, laugh a minute night. If this could get passed onto him I would really appreciate this. I will definitely recommend Cadbury House and its events to all my friends and family.

Well what can I say, your staff and the support we were given on Friday night was second to none yet again! 

Stu, Richard, Wendy and all the staff that helped us in the Great Room on Friday were fantastic. Please thank them so so much for us! 

The feedback is full of praise for the catering staff.  It amazes me how the food is served so quickly and efficiently and it is hot and cooked to perfection, fantastic!  Not forgetting the fab DJ of course.  

Thanks also for your support Cheryl, nothing is too much trouble and your support for the Lifeboat is very much appreciated.

Kathryn - Harvey Hext Appeal Charity Ball - November 2012

Hi Cheryl, just a quick note to say thank you to you and the staff at Cadbury for making the Snowflake ball a a huge success. We had a great nite and raised approx. £8000, for Harvey Hext. I would like to send my personal immense thanks for such wonderful support from all the staff which enabled the event to run so smoothly.  It was such a pleasure to work with you all, from the planning stage to the operational delivery, so professional in every way.  Nobody could have failed to have been impressed.

Thank you Jess for your help and support and only creditable vibes will be spread as a result of the evening - which raised over £3,500 for the cause - outstanding, and far beyond expectation.  Gill was overjoyed and very proud.  She organised a fabulous evening.

Murder Mystery Night, Neighbourhood Policing Awards, November 2015

I would just like to say what a fabulous time we had at the Murder Mystery evening last Friday.  It was really good fun and Lucy and I really enjoyed it.  We were on a table with a group of very friendly people and your Cadbury staff did us proud. The food was lovely and I thought the whole evening was really good value.

We would definitely come to another one, and bring some of our friends to add to our sleuthing power, so I shall look out for the next one!

What a great night we all had.  The team at Cadbury were amazing given the few issues that occurred throughout the night... none of them caused by your team but handled with grace, professionalism and above and beyond customer service.
 
Please could you convey our sincere thanks to all the team, they were without doubt, exceptional.  Freeze and Kieran were fabulous, lots of dancing had   The feedback so far has been fantastic, with some saying it was the best party in many years, so kudos to you all.
 
Many, many thanks for all your help over the course of the past months.  It is the relationships we build that make successes happen and with you, we created a massive success!

The service from Sue and her team was marvellous and everything was carried out exactly as we asked for, all with extra smiles and lovely helpful people.

It really does make a great party into a fantastic party when everything is so well organised and thoughtfully planned.

We would not hesitate to recommend anyone thinking of using you and your venue for a private function, as we have had nothing but excellent service from you for the last three years!

Happy Christmas! 

I am writing to say thank you for a wonderful party night on Tuesday 22nd December. We came in a group of four and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We thought the food was excellent, very tasty, and we were offered as much as we could eat. The endless supply of coffee and mince pies afterwards was much appreciated, too. The staff were very helpful and the disco played an excellent selection of music to dance to. We felt that the evening was very good value for money and we will definitely come again. Thank you to all the staff involved.
