Bristol is a large cosmopolitan city, providing tourists with lots of things to see and do. These include the historic floating harbour, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, The Grand Pier in Weston and Wells Cathedral amongst many others.

Visit the brand new shopping district, Cabot Circus, or take your family on a fun-filled day out to Bristol Zoo. The Bristol docks present the ideal opportunity for a little sightseeing - why not treat yourself to one of the many boat tours, or simply lap up the river-side atmosphere from one of the many waterfont bars or eateries. If you're looking for green spaces, Bristol has many. Visit Ashton Court or the Durdham Downs for a breath of fresh air.
You must also visit The Llandoger Trow, the place where Daniel Defoe met Alexander Selkirk which inspired him to write the classic Robinson Crusoe. The pub, based in the trendy Welshback area of Bristol, provides great food, a great atmosphere and great proximity to the floating harbour.
The city centre itself is a shopper's paradise, even in poor weather, as many of the shops are sheltered in Bristol's many shopping galleries and arcades. Why not take a trip to Clifton Village, with an endless array of boutique shops and arcades.
